Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Pharmacy Technician program graduation or equivalent, current Texas registration, and ACPE sterile compounding certification with 40 hours training completed. The job requires strong communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drug names, medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and different pharmacy work areas and equipment used.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to convey information effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to establish, maintain and promote effective working relationships.
• Strong computer skills and high level of confidentiality; customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in distribution of medications and inventory control.
• Maintain narcotic records and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare sterile products and chemotherapeutic medications as assigned (TPN calculations).
