Position Summary

Assists pharmacist in the distribution of medication for pharmacy. Responsibilities include inventory control, narcotic record keeping, TPN calculations and chemotherapeutic medication preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

License, Registration, and Certification

• Current registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved Sterile Compounding Certification Required for Hire with a minimum 40 hours of training completed.
• I.V. Certification completed within 3 months of hire.

Education and Training

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
