Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generics.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders and dispenses medications under direct licensed pharmacist supervision to ensure safe and appropriate provision of medications to patients.
• Fills physician orders accurately and efficiently and obtains pharmacist check prior to dispensing.
• Maintains stock and keeps a clean, organized environment; restocks area for next shift.
• Documents quality assurance tasks and participates in required training and certification.
• Precepts new staff and contributes to department goals through education and teamwork.
