Job summary

Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, handling the preparation and distribution of medications using appropriate pharmaceutical technique, computer programs and various technical automation equipment. This on-site position requires MO/KS registrations with a plan to obtain licenses within 90 days.

Starting pay begins at $19.10/hr, offers based on education and experience, and benefits are described in staff

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with on‑the‑job training provided.
• MO or KS Pharmacy Technician registration or eligibility with 90 days to obtain license.
• Must meet board of pharmacy requirements for MO/KS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
