Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a highly skilled pediatric perioperative nurse to join the Perioperative Resource Team (PPRT) across Mission Bay, Oakland, and Walnut Creek campuses. The role requires OR circulating experience in pediatric settings and flexibility to work at UCSF Health locations.

Ideal candidates hold a California RN license, BSN preferred, and current BLS certification. This float position supports cross-trained perioperative care and collaboration with surgeons and techs.

Qualifications

• The organization requires three (3) years of recent full-time inpatient Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience.
• Proficiency circulating general, laparoscopic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and neurosurgical cases in a pediatric acute care setting.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; well-organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work independently under pressure.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in California; current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary nursing teams and assists with management of patient care administered by other team members.
