Job summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, WA seeks a Patient Care Technician (CNA) to cover nursing care, transport patients, and handle clerical tasks in a dynamic pediatric health network. You will improve patient outcomes while developing age-appropriate nursing skills.

The role requires high school diploma, nursing assistant licensure or MA credentials, current BLS, and bedside care experience. Night shifts with 12-hour rotations are offered on a 0.75 FTE basis.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven days of hire).
• Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty days of hire.
• Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure.
• MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Recent bedside care experience in a health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
• Assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions.
• Apply strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups.
• Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality care.
