Job summary

Pen Bay Hospital, part of MaineHealth, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed therapy programs for patients with functional impairments due to physical illness or injury. The role emphasizes goal-directed activity to achieve optimum functioning and maintain health.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program with an OT license and BLS certification, and may have 1 year of relevant hospital or outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program required.
• Current applicable state Occupational Therapist license required or in compliance with state act. BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• One year of hospital/long-term care/home/outpatient OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through goal-directed activity to improve function and prevent disability.
