Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in New York seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized therapy for students with sensory impairments. The role involves developing IEP-aligned plans and collaborating with educators. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and a New York State OT license. Competitive pay at $60-$70 per hour with flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required.
• Current New York State Occupational Therapist (OT) license required.
• NBCOT certification required, CPR certification preferred.
• 1+ years in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in special education or with visually and multiply impaired populations.
• Skilled in the use of assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and electronic documentation/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve neuromuscular function, sensory processing, fine motor skills, and coordination.
• Adapt therapy for students with blindness or low vision.
• Assess, recommend, and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Design interventions that meet IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation.
• Consult with parents and work closely with interdisciplinary teams.
