Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks an Occupational Therapist II to provide evaluation, treatment and follow-up for pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes guidance to interns and therapy aides, and active participation in education for families and staff.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of OT experience, with feeding/swallowing expertise and neurodevelopmental knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Two years of professional experience as an occupational therapist.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR certification.
• Colorado State Registration for Occupational Therapy and NBCOT credentialing within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with families, physicians, schools, and other providers to ensure continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
• Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards.
• Evaluates children from birth to 21 years with various diagnoses in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Assists in achieving departmental financial targets.
• Provides consultation and education to families and mentors junior staff.
