Job summary

Easterseals Florida, Inc. seeks a Licensed and Registered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide outpatient therapy to pediatric clients. Under the supervision of a Licensed OT, you will help children develop functional skills for home, school, and community participation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Florida COTA license in good standing; Medicaid and NPI numbers preferred.
• Previous pediatric therapy experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage children, families and team members.
• Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and disability-inclusive care.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized OT treatment plans under supervision of a Licensed OT.
• Provide education and support to clients and families to promote carryover of strategies.
• Maintain documentation including progress notes, summaries, and billing information within policy timeframes.
• Utilize EMR, Office 365, Outlook, and Teams for care coordination.
• Collaborate with clinical team, parents/guardians, and supervising OT to ensure quality outcomes.
• Manage assigned caseload and maintain organized patient files.
