Job summary
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. This full-time day shift role runs Monday through Friday with call rotation required.
Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred. You will deliver and coordinate nursing care within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process, while prioritizing patient safety and family education.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive nursing assessments using the nursing process to determine interventions.
- Strong knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and RN scope of practice.
- Critical thinking to develop and support individualized care plans.
- Ability to delegate tasks to team members and ensure collaborative care.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology (bar code scanning, EHR).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to determine interventions and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications and self-care.
- Develop, implement, and adjust personalized care plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Administer medications safely following best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated, high-quality patient care.
