Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician (COA) to support pediatric ophthalmology services at the Schaumburg outpatient center. The role requires COA certification and BLS, with preferred technician certification and experience in pediatrics.

Strong communication with families and staff is essential. High school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• COA certification (JCAHPO) required.
• Ophthalmic Technician certification (JCAHPO) preferred.
• Basic life support certification required.
• Prior pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff, patients, and families.
• Knowledge of growth and development across all age groups to provide appropriate care.
