Competenze

• Education requirement: High School Diploma.
• Experience: 1 year as an Ophthalmic Tech; pediatric setting preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration.

• Gather patient information and review medical records.
• Update patient information and medical records in the system.
• Administer diagnostic tests.
• Prepare and administer eye medications.
• Provide eye care and contact lens information to patients.
• Maintain and clean ophthalmic instruments.
• Assist providers in basic patient procedures.
• Maintain pediatric ophthalmology clinic files, exam rooms, and equipment.
• May conduct phone triage for follow up or current patients.
