Job summary

Pediatric Dental Care is seeking a Pediatric Office Dental Assistant to join our warm, kid-centered team in Memphis. The role emphasizes friendly patient interactions, efficient chair-side support, and adherence to safety standards.

Due to our multi-location practice, some travel to other offices and flexible hours may be required. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred to assist families effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dental assistant
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization practices
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines
• Ability to perform non-surgical regulated tasks (coronal polishing is a plus)
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Reliable, organized, and detail-focused

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families to the dental office with warmth and positivity
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups while ensuring their comfort
• Set up instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures
• Sterilize instruments according to safety and hygiene regulations
• Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry techniques
• Perform lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the treatment rooms clean and well-stocked
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Dental assistants should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate. Previous experience is recommended. Coronal polishing and sealant certification are a plus.

Please note: This position may require occasional travel to our other office local locations and flexibility to work different hours based on staffing needs.
