Job summary

American Autism & Rehabilitation Center (AARC) in Daphne, Alabama is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist Team Leader to guide a multidisciplinary outpatient team. The role combines clinical leadership with hands-on therapy, mentoring colleagues, and coordinating care with SLPs, PTs, BCBA(s), RBTs, and teachers.

You will develop treatment plans, ensure evidence-based practice, and support professional growth in a family-centered clinic that values collaboration, mentorship, and flexible

Qualifications

  • Current Alabama Occupational Therapy License (required)
  • NBCOT certification in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with pediatric feeding therapy preferred
  • SI and/or NDT training preferred
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, neurological conditions, and behavioral challenges preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Basic computer and electronic documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to the Occupational Therapy team.
  • Promote high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services across the department.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence and participation in daily activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, ABA, physicians, educators, and families to ensure coordinated care.
  • Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and professional development of occupational therapy staff.
  • Promote best practices in pediatric occupational therapy, including intervention for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using electronic medical records.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered clinic culture.

American Autism & Rehabilitation Center (AARC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) Team Leader to join our growing multidisciplinary outpatient clinic in Daphne, Alabama.


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who enjoys mentoring others, collaborating across disciplines, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. As our OT Team Leader, you will provide clinical leadership while working alongside an exceptional team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, and Physical Therapists.

About AARC

Through a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, our pediatric therapists provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of developmental and neurological diagnoses, including:



  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Sensory Processing Disorder

  • Developmental Delays

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Down Syndrome and other genetic conditions

  • Fine and gross motor delays

  • Feeding and swallowing disorders

  • Neurological and orthopedic conditions

  • Behavioral and self-regulation challenges

  • Spasticity and other complex pediatric diagnoses
