Job summary

West Virginia University Hospitals seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver pediatric rehabilitation services in inpatient and outpatient settings, including SDR procedures. The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, patient assessments, and development of treatment plans aligned with patient goals.

You will supervise COTAs and students, contribute to staff education, and ensure proper documentation and billing for services.

Qualifications

• Current or temporary occupational therapist licensure in the applicable state where services will be performed.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Licensure as OT in MD, OH, PA or WV with appropriate temporary/standard status.

Responsibilities

• Provides coordinated and comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluates patient needs and develops treatment programs to minimize disabilities and pain.
• Documents all treatments in the EMR according to policy and billing rules.
• Oversees COTAs, students and volunteers.
• Participates in staff, student, patient and family education to assure quality rehab care.
