Job summary

UPMC's Children’s Therapy Center in McMurray, PA seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary pediatric team. You will deliver play-based, evidence-informed therapy and document assessments, progress, and outcomes per department standards.

The role requires pediatric experience, AOTA-accredited education, NBCOT certification, and ability to collaborate with physicians and families. Travel between centers in McMurray and Washington may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Prefer pediatric experience including student fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintains written documentation for all occupational therapy services rendered, including initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summaries.
• Communicates patient status to the referring physician and other health care team members.
• Completes necessary charge and statistical information to reflect the service rendered.
• Schedules patients to achieve and maintain productivity while ensuring delivery of quality patient care.
• Provides verbal and/or written home instructions to patients and/or family members when applicable.
• Performs occupational therapy assessment, reassessment, and treatment for pediatric patients referred by a physician.
• Develops a plan of care including goals and treatment plans.
• Modifies or adjusts plan of care based on patient status.
• Rotates through treatment areas to facilitate organizational needs.
