Job summary

GREEN APPLE LLC is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist/COTA for the Sherman/Howe/Van Alstyne area. This home-based position serves families in the DFW division and can be part-time.

You will perform comprehensive OT evaluations, develop treatment plans, and partner with caregivers to create home programs while coordinating with other providers to ensure high‑quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients' needs for therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients' caregivers.
• Collaborate with the medical neighborhood to coordinate care between providers.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits weekly as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, logs, and paperwork.
• Attend meetings to maintain understanding of expectations and standards for high‑quality care.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, rules, and applicable regulations for home-health OT.

Job DetailsJob Location: Sherman - TX 75090THERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist/COTA to serve families in the Sherman/Howe/Van Alstyne Area. This position is based in our DFW division. This position can be Part-time.

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.

QualificationsWhat you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Bonus points for:

• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
