Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a part-time Pediatric Clinical Faculty member for onsite teaching in our nursing program in Hawaii. The role focuses on Family-Centered pediatric nursing education with rotations, lectures, and clinical supervision of nursing students.

The position requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, an unencumbered Hawaii nursing license, and at least two years of recent instructional experience as an RN. An Illinois license is required to teach all courses.

Qualifications

Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Unencumbered nursing license in Hawaii.
At least two years of instructional experience as an RN within the last five years.
Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
Illinois RN license required to teach all courses.

Responsibilities

Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
Deliver clinical teaching to support course objectives.
Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback.
Remediate students as needed and orient to agency policies.
Develop and post written assignments aligned to learning needs.
Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork promptly.
May teach didactic content under supervision.
Keep course coordinator informed of issues and concerns.
Report to dean or assistant dean; course coordinator oversight.
