Job summary
Children's Minnesota in Minnesota offers an RN New Graduate Training Program that blends didactic learning with precepted clinical experiences to transition new graduates from classroom to professional nursing.
The program prepares RNs to coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, using the nursing process. Orientation starts with day shifts, then moves to the hired shift and schedule as competency goals are met.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Associate, BSN/BA, or MSN/MA nursing program within 1 year from cohort start.
- Minnesota RN license required prior to start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Meet health requirements for employment.
- Interest in working with children and families.
- Resume must be included for consideration.
Responsibilities
- Participate in didactic and precepted clinical experiences to support transition to professional practice.
- Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents.
- Engage in rotations across Med Surg, Critical Care, ED, Operating Room, Neonatal Care or Float Team.
