Job summary

Xpress Pediatrics in Kensington, MD is seeking a passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric care team. The successful candidate will provide primary and urgent pediatric care, including well-child visits, sick visits, and care coordination.

Requires MD NP license in Maryland, MSN/DNP with pediatric focus, and BLS/CPR. Preference for PNP/FNP certification and prior pediatric experience; strong communication and teamwork a must.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland NP license required.
• MSN or DNP with focus in Pediatrics or Family Practice.
• PNP or FNP certification preferred.
• Prior pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required; PALS a plus.
• Strong communication skills with children and families.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well-child visits, acute illness evaluations, and follow-up appointments.
• Diagnose and treat pediatric conditions across ages from newborns to adolescents.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Educate families on preventive care and disease management.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
