The ideal candidate brings NP certification in pediatrics, California licensure, and 2–4 years of pediatric primary care experience, with a collaborative approach to care and a commitment to family education and health promotion.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP) is required.
• Active NP licensure in California.
• Pediatric NP board certification.
• 2–4 years of pediatric primary care or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of medical conditions.
• Conduct well‑child exams, immunizations, and school/extra‑curricular physicals.
• Obtain patient history, assess development, and detect health concerns early.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with physicians.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic illnesses.
• Educate families on preventive care and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, assess physical and mental development, and ensure early detection of potential health concerns.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies to guide treatment decisions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Prescribe medications, manage chronic illnesses, and educate families on preventive care and wellness strategies.
• Maintain and update accurate electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure continuity of care.
• Act as a resource for patients and families, providing guidance on childhood development, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient‑centered care and improve health outcomes.
