Qualifications

• MSN with pediatric NP specialization required.

• Illinois DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric clinical experience; new grads with strong rotations considered.
• Experience with pediatric EHR workflows and growth chart documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments and developmental screenings for patients from newborn to 18 years old.
• Diagnose and treat pediatric illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and point-of-care tests.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Administer immunizations per CDC and AAP schedules and counsel families.
• Document encounters in the electronic health record.
• Manage a patient panel including well and sick visits and chronic disease follow-up.
• Refer to pediatric specialists and coordinate follow-up care.

This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based onsite in Chicago, IL. The role cares for patients in a busy hospital-based pediatric clinic, managing well-child visits, same day sick visits, and chronic condition follow-up as part of a supportive clinical team.This role is well aligned for a nurse practitioner who loves working with children and families and is passionate about pediatric primary care.
