Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is seeking a qualified, registered nurse to lead the nursing operation of the unit 24/7, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling care delivery to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Reports to the Nursing Director and requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, TN or Compact RN licensure, and 2–3 years of pediatric nursing with management experience. This leadership role emphasizes clinical excellence and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; master's degree preferred.
• RN licensure in TN or Compact required.
• 2-3 years pediatric nursing experience; management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in development, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing service programs that ensure quality nursing and patient care.
• Monitor unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies for patient services and safety.
• Ensure staff understand emergency, infection control and universal precautions procedures with CQI evidence.
• Communicate effectively within the organization and collaborate with education and training for staff orientation.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, and capital equipment planning; drive quality and safety initiatives in pediatrics.
