Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Department RN extern. The role involves nursing activities learned in the program and assisting with medication administration after completing pediatric theory and clinical coursework.

You will participate in a full weeklong orientation and must maintain required transcripts to verify progression in an accredited RN program. Final compensation will be determined by experience and policy.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required).
• Current enrollment with completion of at least two semesters in an accredited RN Program (required).
• Must submit transcripts showing proof of second semester completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing activities learned in the nursing program and may assist with medication administration after pediatric theory and clinical coursework.
• Complete the full, weeklong new hire/clinical orientation.
• Adhere to policies and contribute to patient and family-centered care.
