Job summary

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Children’s Health team. You will provide preventive and pediatric primary care services for patients from birth through age 21 while helping improve access to high-quality healthcare in an underserved community.

You will work alongside a collaborative team that includes one Pediatric Physician and four Advanced Practice Providers in a supportive environment focused

Qualifications

• Be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
• Current BLS certification.
• Completion of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Passion for delivering high-quality pediatric care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• DHEC and DEA applications initiated prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care for patients birth through 21 years.
• Obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic studies.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and specialists.
• Document and bill for direct patient care services.
• Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation initiatives.
• Precept APP students and assist with onboarding and development of team members.
• Attend monthly MUSC team and pediatric department meetings.
