Albany Medical Center's General Pediatrics - C7 unit is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to provide compassionate bedside care, administer medications, and implement physician orders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 1–3 years of Med-Surg/Progressive Care experience, with strong communication and teamwork to support patient and family needs. Salary range is $85,280 to $95,513.60 per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 1–3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

Responsabilités

• Implements physician orders, administers meds, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and tests, and documents care.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses patient needs and responses to care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains standards of professional nursing.
