Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a pediatric neuropsychologist for a primarily outpatient role with a strong neurology focus, including epilepsy pre- and post-surgical assessments. Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology including a full time 1 year pre-doctoral internship required.
• Completion of a full-time two year post-doctoral fellowship with training in neuropsychology required.
• Current valid license to practice psychology in the applicable state required.

Responsibilities

• Performs neuropsychological evaluations focusing on organic brain function and related etiological factors.
• Obtains and evaluates historical information to inform evaluation and treatment planning.
• Maintains responsibility for test selection, scoring, interpretation and norms.
• Utilizes psychometrists for administration and scoring, and supervises as appropriate.
• Prepares reports from the evaluation data and communicates findings to patients and care teams.
• Provides psych education, cognitive retraining, behavior management and crisis intervention as needed.
• Develops treatment plans and discusses with patients and others to ensure informed consent.
• Trains team members and provides clinical supervision for trainees.
