The West Virginia University Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist to join the growing neuroscience program at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. The role emphasizes outpatient pediatric neurology with inpatient consultations and collaboration across the regional health system.

You will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal care for children and adolescents, develop clinical pathways, and help expand pediatric neurology services across the Eastern Panhandle

Competenze

• MD or DO degree, or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency and pediatric neurology training program.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Neurology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of West Virginia.
• Eligibility for appropriate medical staff privileges.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
• Candidates completing fellowship training and early-career physicians are encouraged to apply.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive inpatient/outpatient pediatric neurological evaluation and management.
• Diagnose and manage common and complex neurological conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents.
• Provide pediatric neurology consultation for hospitalized patients as clinically appropriate.
• Develop longitudinal care plans in collaboration with patients, families, referring providers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Establish strong referral relationships with pediatricians, family medicine physicians, emergency medicine providers, and other specialists throughout the region.
• Participate in the continued development of pediatric neurology clinical pathways, referral processes, and regional access strategies.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, primary care, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and other specialties as appropriate.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and patient experience initiatives.
• Participate in educational and academic activities consistent with the mission of WVU Medicine and available faculty opportunities.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of neuroscience services across the Eastern Panhandle.
