Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking a Full‑Time Pediatric Neurologist to join our rapidly growing team in Orlando. We have a great neuroscience center with a rapidly expanding program in central Florida. Our team includes 6 neurologists, 3 neurosurgeons, and 6 APPs, supported by nurses, MAs, certified EEG technicians, occupational and physical therapists, and social workers. We have a well‑established neuromuscular program and epilepsy program with a 6‑bed EMU and an active epilepsy surgery program. Gene therapies are offered for all FDA‑approved neurological conditions. We also maintain an international medicine program that delivers neurological services worldwide. The role offers the opportunity to build and lead additional clinical programs—such as headache, developmental neurology, and movement disorders—while expanding clinical research, including trials. Physicians are encouraged to pursue academic appointments through the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
The pediatric neurologist will share an equal number of inpatient service weeks and night calls. The neurology service is a consult service; the on‑call neurologist provides coverage for the pediatric inpatient floor, PICU, NICU, and pediatric emergency department. The inpatient team includes adult neurology residents and medical students, with the resident or an APP first on call alongside the attending physician.
As a faculty member of UCFCOM, the candidate can participate in medical student admission, education, and training. Physicians are encouraged to engage in research, quality improvement studies, and academic activities with medical students, with library resources available from the medical college.
