Job summary

OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, OR, is seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Pediatric Nephrology. The position combines clinical care across outpatient, inpatient and dialysis settings with teaching of residents and medical students.

The successful candidate will join a team of pediatric nephrologists and contribute to scholarly activities while advancing pediatric kidney disease care within Doernbecher and the Oregon Health & Science University system.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD eligible for Oregon and Washington licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics/Pediatric Nephrology.
• Completed an accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Nephrology fellowship.
• Proven ability to teach residents, medical students and trainees.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care in outpatient, inpatient, dialysis and outreach locations.
• Shares clinical call and inpatient coverage with division colleagues.
• Teaches residents, medical students and trainees; mentors learners.
• Engages in scholarly research to improve clinical practice and education.
• Administrative and advocacy duties may be assigned.
