Job summary

The RN, Transport at Cook Children's Health Care System in Fort Worth, TX, serves neonatal and pediatric patients during transport via ground ambulances, rotor wing and fixed wing aircraft, collaborating with RTs and Paramedics.

The role requires critical thinking, strong communication and customer service, with orientation of about 6 months. Shift is 7p–7a; no on-call, but every other weekend is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Texas RN license and current CPR.
• Neonatal/Pediatric ICU or Transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during transport by ground ambulance, rotor wing, and fixed wing.
• Collaborate with RTs and Paramedics for safe handoffs.
• Maintain patient safety and accurate documentation during transport.
