Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to assess nutritional status, develop and monitor medical nutrition therapy plans, and coordinate care with physicians and the care team. The role requires RD status and a bachelor’s in nutrition, with licensure completion within 6 months if not yet licensed.

Responsibilities include documentation, patient education, and potential teaching of staff and residents as part of a collaborative clinical nutrition program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition (or related field) and eligibility for CDR registration.
• Registered Dietitian or must be registered and licensed within 6 months of employment.
• No prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor nutritional status and adjust care per guidelines.
• Provide MNT counseling and education to patients/clients.
• Coordinate nutrition care with physicians, nurses and the care team.
• Complete all required nutrition documentation and care plans in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families and develop relevant teaching materials.
• Contribute to in-services for team members and residents as needed.
• Mentor dietetic interns and junior staff under supervision.
• Present nutrition research findings to the medical team.
