Dominion Hospital, located in Falls Church, VA, is seeking a Child Mental Health Nurse - RN to join our inpatient team. This role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care for pediatric mental health patients, aligned with state standards and psychiatric nursing practices.

The RN serves as a patient advocate, collaborates with providers, and supports families through treatment and discharge planning, with day or night shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualificações

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensure: Active RN license in the employed state or a compact license.
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers and CPI as part of orientation.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant nursing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses throughout care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions per orders.
• Evaluate safety risks, pain, and abuse/neglect; report concerns.
• Develop and coordinate individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Educate patients, families about diagnoses, treatment, discharge planning.
• Lead and coordinate care, supervising team members and promoting teamwork.
• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care.
• Build therapeutic relationships to support recovery and well-being.
• Facilitate education on mental health, crisis management, and relapse prevention.
• Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
