Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Independence Family Health Center is seeking a caregiver to join our pediatric care team. The role involves assisting with screenings, collecting specimens and documenting patient care within a patient‑friendly primary and express care setting.

Shifts run 7:00am–8:30pm with rotations for evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates graduate from an approved medical assisting program or have military medical training, plus BLS certification or the ability to obtain it upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved medical assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
• Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross; if not held, must obtain during new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by updating health information, medication changes, allergies, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment and supplies; ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
