Job summary

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics in North Huntingdon is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support our pediatric office and help children and families be their best.

You will take vitals and labs, assist with exams, prepare rooms, manage records, and handle basic patient communications. Prior pediatric office experience and basic computer skills are preferred to maintain efficient, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior pediatric office experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and labs, assist with exams and procedures, document patient data, and relay care instructions.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms, maintain equipment, and manage supply inventory.
• Schedule appointments, confirm insurance, update patient records, and manage documentation.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and state health regulations; maintain confidentiality and clinical competencies.
• Support patients with mobility, specimen collection, and provide education as needed.
• Administer injections and vaccines under physician supervision, following safety protocols.
