Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support both Selma and New Braunfels clinics. You will triage pediatric patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help keep children calm and comfortable in fast-paced environments.

You will perform vaccinations, CLIA-waived testing, and real-time charting while ensuring strict safety protocols. The role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, with seasonal full-time status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant education, certification, military experience, or qualifying training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Triage pediatric patients and gather accurate histories.
• Assist with exams and procedures while keeping kids comfortable.
• Administer medications and vaccines using strict safety protocols.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing and quality checks.
• Document in real time and close charts by shift end.
• Support patient flow during high-volume periods.
