Job summary

CHOC is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join the Commerce Urgent Care team in Orange, CA. This full-time position supports the clinic with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, operating daily 12pm–12am. The MA I works under physician supervision in back and front office, providing routine technical services and patient care with a patient-centered approach.

Required: high school diploma, MA diploma or vocational-education, BLS. Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Required: Previous work experience or externship in a healthcare setting.
• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; MA diploma.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Proficient in medical terminology and clinical software.
• Knowledge of computer systems and software used in the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical services in back office and front office under physician supervision.
• Assist with patient flow, vitals, and specimen collection as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment and support team coordination.
