Job summary

Huntington Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Arcadia Peds team in Arcadia, CA. The role includes interviewing patients, verifying information, and preparing patients for exams with basic vitals and history reporting.

Responsibilities also cover appointment scheduling and maintaining current demographics and insurance information. Required: high school diploma, 1 year outpatient experience, MA certification and BLS; CA- CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year experience as Medical Assistant in outpatient setting preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification and BLS required.
• Preferred: Certified Registered Medical Assistant issued by CA Certifying Board for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to verify information and purpose of visit.
• Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary tests and measuring vital signs.
• Report patient history summary to the clinician.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and maintain patient demographics and insurance data.
