Job summary

Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a pediatric setting in Tempe, AZ.

The role requires CPR/BLS and a CMA or RMA credential within 90 days of hire, with a strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance and professional conduct. Under supervision of a licensed clinician, you will perform vital sign collection, patient prep, specimen collection, EHR documentation and medication administration as directed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other approved by the Department of Education.
• Certification as CMA or RMA required within 90 days of employment to remain in position.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and patient information in the electronic health record.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision and manage labeling, storage and disposal as required.
• Process prescription refills and prior authorizations for medications and DME as directed.
