Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• EPIC experience preferred; experience in community health settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inform scheduled patients of delays due to physician lateness or emergencies.
• Anticipate assessment/monitoring needs before and during examinations or procedures.
• Provide a caring environment and maintain professional communication with patients.
• Greet, interview, obtain past medical history and vital signs, and liaise between provider and patient.
• Prepare and assist patients for examination and treatment; staff within the Primary Care department.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, immunizations, EKG, and point-of-care testing as needed.
