Job summary

DGADA Management is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide pediatric Med/Surg care in a per diem role at our Sacramento, CA facility. The RN will conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and document care accurately.

• Graduate of an ACME nursing program.
• Active, unencumbered RN license.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg(Peds)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Employment Type: Per Diem
Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hr

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and changes in condition, administering medications and treatments, managing IV therapy and other prescribed interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The RN works closely with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and coordinate individualized care plans. The role also involves educating patients and families, supporting pain and symptom management, maintaining patient safety, following infection-control protocols, and helping pediatric patients progress through their treatment and recovery.

Education & License

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active, unencumbered RN license
• AHA BLS Required
• PALS – Required
• Active state RN license may require primary-source verification

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care pediatric experience in Peds Med/Surg
• Minimum 1 year of Epic experience
• Experience caring for pediatric patients with complex medical or surgical needs
• Strong pediatric assessment, medication administration, and patient/family education skills
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare team
