David Raines Community Health Centers in Shreveport, LA, seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatric) to provide compassionate care to children under physician supervision. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, assist with exams, document patient information, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Minimum one year of experience in related duties.
• Must have Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Pediatric credentialed from the Louisiana Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS/CPR card must be valid through employment.
• FQHC or Healthcare experience.
• Experience with electronic health records required, preferably NextGen or similar EHS.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
• Obtains vital signs, weight, and other measurements; performs point-of-care testing as required.
• Informs provider of urgent care needs.
• Observes changes in patient condition and reports to supervisor or provider when indicated.
• Prepares patient for examination or procedures and documents orders.
• Collects and documents patient information in medical records.
• Educates patients and families for tests and home health care.
• Assists in ordering supplies and manages room readiness.
