Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under supervision, performing nursing processes and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, age-appropriate care.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an LPN program, and current LPN license with BLS; PALS/PEARS within a year. The work is day shift, Monday–Friday, normal patient-family-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• PALS or PEARS certification within one year, as required by department specification.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed professionals in applying the nursing process to deliver age-appropriate patient care.
• Documents care plans, assessments, and interventions accurately.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams and home health when needed.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge instructions as delegated.
