Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height and weight.
• Assist physician, prepare and stock exam rooms.
• Assign patients/physicians to exam rooms; prepare daily assignments.
• Provide nursing care and wound care as directed by physician.
• Administer and document medications per policy.
• Maintain supplies, immunizations and nursing materials.
• Perform testing (spirometry, EKG, urinalysis).
• Triage calls and refer to physician as needed.
• Ensure test results are added to patient charts and HIPAA compliant.

Seeking a Full Time LPN or RN to work in BCHP's Children's Medical Group Office in Greenwich, CT. We do require a CT state LPN or RN license to be considered for this opportunity.

Pay

• LPN pay rate will be approx. $26/hr-$33/hr depending on experience
• RN pay rate will be approx. $34/hr-$40/hr depending on experience

New Graduates are welcome, will Train in house. We are open to reviewing both full time and part time candidates for this position

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes patients vital signs, height and weight
• Assists physician, prepares and stocks exam rooms
• Assigns patients and physicians to exam rooms
• Prepares daily assignment for medical support staff
• Communicates with front desk staff as necessary
• Provides direct and individualized nursing care, dressing wounds and incisions as directed by physician
• Assists physicians during patient exam
• Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with division policy and procedure as directed
• Maintains appropriate supply of medications, immunizations and general nursing supplies
• Performs various testing which may include but not limited to - spirometry, EKG, urinalysis
• Triage phone calls answering basic questions and referring to physician when need arises.
• Records information concisely, accurately and completely in patient charts and/or on forms, etc
• Follow- up on diagnostic testing/lab results
• Ensure that test results are incorporated in patient chart
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment as necessary, calls prescriptions in to pharmacies
• Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient's records in accordance with BCHP policy and HIPAA regulations
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities accordingly.
• Other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the office

Position Requirements

Applicant must be computer literate and have excellent interpersonal skills. Current LPN or RN license is required. A minimum of 1 year Pediatric experience is preferred.
