Job summary

First Day Homecare in the United States seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide skilled nursing care under physician orders. You will perform nursing functions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and under the direction of medical practitioners.

The role involves day and night shifts for clients across Allegan County, including 1:1 pediatric care with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current LPN license to practice in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured as required by state/agency.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents changes in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• Scope includes pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participates in coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.
