Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking an Interventional Radiology nurse for a full-time role in a busy pediatric setting. The incumbent will assist with post-procedure turnover, provide procedural support, and participate in call coverage on a rotating schedule, including weekends roughly every 4–6 weeks.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of critical care experience in a hospital environment and will thrive in a fast-paced team. NO NEW Grads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of CRITICAL CARE experience (ICU/NICU/PICU/Cath Lab/OR) in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessments considering age and condition to determine initial plan of care.
• Evaluates patient responses to care, documents progress, and communicates with care team and families.
• Provides orientation and guidance to unit staff and families; supports coordination of care.
• Supervises care activities of team members and ensures patient safety and infection control.
• Participates in rounds and care conferences to align on patient health status and plan of care.
• Mentors students and new employees to promote best practices.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
