Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a dedicated Insurance Verifier to support the Patient Access team in Brookhaven, GA.

You will conduct insurance verification, pre-certification, and denial management, coordinating with payors and clinical staff to secure timely authorizations and accurate eligibility.

The role requires strong communication and familiarity with medical terminology; travel within metro Atlanta may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of insurance verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-depth account review including denial management and liaison with payors.
• Interviews patients/families to secure insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Verifies insurance benefits and communicates status to team.
• Provides medical justification for procedures during pre-certification.
• Coordinates with PFS on denied claims and payment programs.
• Maintains knowledge of medical terminology and billing guidelines.
