Job summary

Shriners Children's Ohio seeks a PRN Mixed shift Pediatric Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children in the treatment of pediatric burns and craniofacial conditions, with Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing care.

The RN coordinates nursing care, supports education for patients and families, and participates in transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. Leadership as a preceptor and QA initiatives is included.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process.
• Ohio RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
• Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• Provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
