Job summary

Arkansas Children's in Springdale is seeking an APRN to provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care in collaboration with hospitalist physicians, supporting evaluation, treatment, and coordination of care for hospitalized children.

The APRN practices autonomously in a collaborative setting with a physician, applying advanced assessment and treatment skills to complex cases and guiding families through care plans within AC care continuum.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing.
RN license in Arkansas or Compact State.
6 years of nursing experience recommended.
APRN-CNP or related certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

Gathers information for pediatric patients including medical history and examinations.
Assesses and identifies needs of patient and family for assigned population.
Interprets health data and directs patient care.
Provides ongoing care including pharmacologic and diagnostic treatments and education.
Documents care plans and outcomes according to policy.
Completes billing codes (ICD-9 and CPT) per laws and policy.
Communicates with physicians and hospital staff as appropriate.
Participates in quality improvement activities and care strategies.
Disseminates research findings through practice and education.
Engages in professional nursing organizations to maintain expertise.
